Like most things in life, when it comes to relationships it’s often the little things that matter the most. It's often the little differences between two coupled up people that can signify some of the biggest disparities in personality traits and general life values like a preference towards smoking, a tendency towards being a homebody (or the opposite), and a desire for adventure. If two people in a couple don't feel the same way about these and other seemingly minor issues, the continuous disagreements can take their toll and build up over time. Some of the findings in article are surprising, such as the fact that overall, women tend to be less satisfied than men in long-term relationships, but some of the stats are pretty straight forward (like how both men and women tend to be more satisfied and less stressed out in relationships that don't involve serious factors like shared children).
